I thought now that I am carrying this lil' peanut, it'd be a great time to start posting again and keeping everyone updated. We go to the doctor on Friday for our first check-up and we are very excited to see our new baby for the first time.
We are very blessed and grateful that our pregnancy journey's have been easy and uneventful for the most part. I am praying this one is the same...
We cannot put into words how happy we are....

Clutter
The title is fitting. At least it's where my mind has been lately. Have you ever really LOOKED inside your closets, drawers, garage, basement? And I don't mean opened the door, closed it, and thought nothing of it; I mean a why in GODS name do we have all this stuff? There are people who barely have roofs over their heads and food on the table, yet we have bags and bags of stuff we are getting rid of. Things we bought we didn't need. Wasteless money spent, ouch. ha. I think it's all the economy talk that gets our minds rolling, but I watch Suze Orman and Oprah and let me tell you they REALLY get your mind rolling. Suze Orman said it perfectly when she said we need to live simpler, go back to the old way of living, stop spending money you don't need to spend, put the credit cards away, oh and never lease a car-oops; I could go on. She is wonderful and everything she says is the truth. She had a great quote "When someone chooses to value herself over the things she can buy, true transformation begins." We don't need THINGS to make us who we are. So I made a promise this year, you can call me the traveling garage sale hahaha. I am hitting up every family member with a good garage sale location and getting rid of this STUFF. I have my piles started in the basement, but I want this stuff out. Things we don't need or use GONE. So who wants to help? I am sure I will have a line waiting.
So on to the kids. Mr. Nicholas. I can converse with this child like he's an old friend. He thinks deep, outside the box, it's amazing. He asks me the good ole where do babies come from question and I had a hard time with that one. He knows they come out of my belly (luckily I have the scar to prove it), but when I got the "How does the baby GET in the tummy Mommy?" I was stumped. God's Miracle honey. It's all God's Miracle, can we move on now. ha. Oh, and when people get to Heaven, he knows were all going there someday, but he'd like to know "How does God come down, get all the people, and bring them to Heaven?" Seriously, how am I supposed to answer that. I don't even know the answer to that. Cheri gave me a good one there, the Angels come down and bring them home. Love that answer, except Nicholas would want to know why the Angels come down and not God and why can't we see the Angels, and when do they come? hahaha My little boy. Gotta love him.
Andrew...Busy busy boy. He takes one nap a day and works the rest of it. He is always on the go and climbing everything he can possibly climb in our house. You must keep your eyes on Drew Boy or you will find him starting to climb the chairs, or kitchen table, or the bookshelves, or nic's dresser to see the fish; but then there are the times it's really quiet and I think oh no, and I find him sitting in his chair reading books. He's talking quite a bit now and knows exactly what he wants. He will walk me to the pantry for food, he will tell me when he wants more, or when he wants to read he says book book and sits in your lap with it. He is really understanding us when we talk or ask him to do something. He just seems so tiny to be doing it. And my favorite right now is his "attempting" to sing. Lately he will sing "EIEIO" when Nic or us sings Old McDonald Had a Farm. Too cute. Can't wait for you all to hear him.
Well I will post more soon. I have pictures I need to get up here and a PLAYROOM TO REVEAL. Ahh it's near complete. I am just so glad everything has it's place now and it's so much easier to keep clean when you have shelves, etc. Kids LOVE it and play in there so much more.

Breathe
That's how I feel today. That I can finally breathe, for us, for my parents and matt's parents, and everyone else in the family. Our family has gotten past the flu bug (which by the way I managed to miss), Nana is finally home after a forever long Thyroid Removal Recovery, and Grandma will come home Saturday from the Rehabilitation Center. We are very thankful they are doing better and can finally "come home." Lord knows Grandma would check herself out today if they let her.
Nicholas has been quite the character lately. Really changing a lot again and discovering how far can I push to get what I want. Well buddy, hate to break it to ya, but we are going to win. He does well though, he's so easy to communicate with. We're very proud of the little boy he is becoming. I had my proud mommy moment the other day when Andrew was crying and he tells him it's okay Andrew, I am here for you. WOW...
Andrew is into everything he can get his little hands on. Managed to get into our pantry today, the two minutes it was open, and snag himself a hershey kiss. He wasn't too happy when I took the other one from his hand. He had a cute cry though with the chocolate dripping from his lip.
Not much else is new. Matthew just won a "Recognizing You Award" at work, so he used that to buy himself the Wii. He is like a kid again and loving playing with Nicholas. Bowling is our favorite so far. Any suggestions from anyone as new Wii owners?
p.s. Please welcome Wesley Trudeau to the world. This little guy is Paul and Sandra's new Golden Retriever puppy!

Surgery Went Well
Nana had her thyroid removed today and all went well. Mom said her throat is really hurting and her neck from the way they positioned her to operate, so I am sure she will have a few days of not feeling her best. She is expected home tomorrow. She will stay with my mom for a few days while she recovers.
I must say it is cold here!!! Thinking of my family out of state and how lucky they are not to live through Chicago winters. I had to take Buster to the groomer today and the short distance from my car to the lady's house made my coat crunchy. Nicholas had preschool cancelled even! Now personally I didn't think it was that bad, but I also kept inside most of the day.
On a positive note I have had an order come in from a random google search for my business. That was exciting as it's a good feeling knowing that I can be searched now and there is interest. I have quite a few things I am working on and my mother-in-law has a very crafty friend that is going to work with me to get a few more things designed. I am excited for that and plan to do a few craft shows in the Spring if I can get a booth before they fill up. I am also looking into getting a jewelry line going with mother's bracelets and these stamped necklaces, which are adorbale. As soon as I find the right one and can work out a wholesale account, I will get it going online.
Here are a few pictures I promised....

Some News
I didn't have the best week last week. I was laid off on Thursday. Great timing I must say, no notice and the slowest hiring time of the year. I may take unemployment for a while and stay home with the boys atleast until the right job comes along. I was there for 3 years, so it was hard to walk away, but I am a firm believer in things happen for a reason, so I am sure there are "plans" for me. One things for sure Little Peanut Designs will definantly get a bit more of my attention!!
Had a nice weekend with my Dad in town. He always get the "firecracker" going in the house and we get things done around here that we put off. He got our gate fixed, so we can finally feel secure with Andrew walking around upstairs. We also spent time at Jay's, having dinner and playing with the boys. Nicholas of course wanted to stay with Grampy and Uncle JJ, so they got to spend some QT time with him.
On a sad note, Matt's Grandma hasn't received the best news. She went to the doctor and they said she has fluid in her brain and unfortunately with her age, they do not recommend draining it. She has been through so much, I cannot believe how strong she is. Seeing her change before everyone's eyes is heartbreaking. She isn't herself anymore and if you know Grandma you know this isn't her. She's sharp and funny and tells it how it is. Cannot begin to explain how much she means to us and to our boys...Please pray for her, send her a card let her know your thinking of her, and please hope along with us that she gets through this and doesn't suffer along the way.
Not much else new. Getting things done around the house, while the weather is bad. We don't feel like going out much. I am so looking forward to summer....

Happy New Year
Hello Everyone! My New Years Resolution: Become a Blogger. Okay, well not exactly my resolution, but it was something I have contemplated doing for months. I like to update family and friends, especially with cute stories and pictures of my sweet baby boys, so instead of the website I used to send, I am going to give this a try.
Holidays are here and gone. We really enjoyed it this year as Nicholas was so into it. He woke me up Christmas morning, so excited he could barely talk, lip quivering, as he explained to me that Santa had came and ate the milk and cookies. He HAD to show me, so we went downstairs, so I could see for myself. He was so excited that there were crumbs on the plate and that the reindeer had eaten the carrots he left. I don't think I will ever forget this morning, nor him and the way he was the entire holiday, so grateful for all he got, even socks and underwear. I think him saying "N for Nicholas" when he found his presents will always ring in my ear as well. And little brother Andrew was a lot of fun this year too. To think last year, at this time, he was a tiny little peanut. He got into the opening, liked tearing the paper, and loved playing with the new things he got.
I will leave you with a sweet story about the boys. The other day Nicholas was crying because I would't let him have something, do something (cannot recall), well Andrew did not like that he was crying apparently, as he walked over to Nicholas, climbed in his lap, put his arms around his neck, and sat and hugged him. Tears, yes............of course I did, knowing how much these boys love each other, how they sense the others emotions, and want nothing more than to make it better. Ahh people say just wait, that may be true, but for now I am enjoying every moment of this.
Happy New Year
